I’d like to point you to a great (and FREE) app that can be very useful to those of you who, like me, are into media production. It’s called Celtx and it lets you write screenplays and take care of the whole pre-production process with no hassle. I like it a lot and after showing it to my friend Michael he told me that it does much more than other popular and expensive products he’s been using. What else to say? It’s available for Windows, Mac and Linux. Works perfectly and has an integrated Web-based collaboration system. Check it out and let me know.

This really rocks - great find Livia. Only thing I can find that might put a spoke in the works is a lack of export options, but at least in macland print to pdf via the print menu strikes me as a decent way of working around that. Otherwise, getting clients to download this to check stuff out (it is free and very light after all).
Whatever, it’s just awesome to see this many features packed into a free, open app. Nice tight integration with scripts, storyboards, index card notes, formatting. Screw paying for Final Draft.
