Young videoreporter killed in Baghdad

I have just found out that Ali Shafeya Al-Moussawi, a reporter for citizen journalism videoblog Alive in Baghdad, has been killed in Iraq at home on last Friday. Ali was only 22-year-old.

For those of you who don’t know Alive in Baghdad: it is an award winning videoblog that tells stories of people who live in Baghdad and is entirely managed and produced by local reporters.

The other reporters are now collecting funds for Ali’s family. He was the last surviving male relative.

We desperately need a World 2.0.
