Loren doesn’t like Seesmic. Period.

So what? I started laughing when I read the angry comments on Loren Feldman’s review of Seesmic. I am a fan of Loren and I had the pleasure to talk to him outside of the 1938 Media box. He’s a talented guy, an actor, someone who has always been into entertainment and knows how to create compelling videos online.

Loïc Le Meur is a very smart businessman, a guy who knows what it takes to build a successful product. He seems to be very open to confrontation and criticism. I think that he overreacted by calling Loren a racist (and it’s not the first time that he gets labeled as such). Loren always plays with that and he is a very self-ironic guy (people who don’t know him should watch more of his videos to understand).

Loren always says what he thinks and he has a provocative way of doing it. Once you get this you will be able to distinguish between the character that he plays and his pure criticism (which, by the way, was very interesting). And please don’t believe that now Loren REALLY hates all the French people on the Web: you must be really sick if you get it that way!

Many people on the Web (mostly losers who need attention) tend to worship “A-list bloggers” without actually doing any criticism on whatever they say. Scoble & Friends are good people, that’s for sure, but they aren’t gods and sometimes they also say stupid things and make crappy videos.

My opinion? Loren is right on many points about Seesmic. Loïc is an intelligent man and I’m sure he’ll be able to get Loren’s advice once this bubble of bullshit bursts.
